Giving of ourselves is such an important part of this time of the year, and it seems more than ever people are struggling and in need. I pray that all of us will be touched by the plight of others and give of ourselves with money if we can; but, more importantly of our time and of ourselves.
If you want trying to decide which organizations to donate to, here are some suggestions (religious and non-religious) of some really great charities:
If those don’t appeal to you, why not consider doing something local such as visiting shut-ins or a nursing home, or donating goods or time to your local food bank or shelter?
