Today is truly wonderful and I am grateful that I am a part of it. I can close my eyes and travel to all wonderful places that I’ve experienced in my life.
I can look out a window and be grateful to have seen the beauty of flowers and trees. To have heard the sounds of musical notes, to have felt the touch of friendship and love.
I can choose to be happy in my involvement this day or my travels in my memory book. I can choose to reach out in friendship or find peace in the solitude of my own thoughts.
Today is a wonderful day I am grateful to be a part of it.
I don’t know who the author* of this is; I found it taped on a friend’s wall. I have a printed copy of this and keep it where I can see it often, though. It helps me to remember that each day is truly wonderful and a gift, even when things are not going well or as I had planned.
*Thanks to Theresa (see comments) I now know who the author is: Karen Nash.
