I love my 8GB PNY flash drive. Before I got my Dell Inspiron 1501, the flash drive was my constant companion. Although 
I don’t use it as often now, it still comes in handy often enough. And, It was a life saver when my computer crashed a few weeks back.
What I particularly love about it, obviously, is its portability. I can stick it in my pocket or purse and bring it anywhere instead of lugging my laptop which can get pretty bulkly – especially when my son is with me.
As for quality, so far so good. I have had the flash drive over a year now and have reused it quite a bit. The quality has remained good and I haven’t had any problems with it at all.
They are also inexpensive. They range from $9.99 for a 1GB to $99.99 for a 16GB.
