With all the information out there constantly vying for your attention, it is good to take a break and do a media fast once in a while. This can mean unplugging the computer, TV, cell phone or whatever gadget you happen to be addicted to.

If you have trouble keeping track of all the passwords you have from the various websites, forums and groups that you belong to, here’s a little tip (actually found this tip in a magazine, but can’t remember which one): Use an address book. Write in your user name and password for File shredder is a handy and important program to have on your computer – especially if you need to get rid of sensitive or personal information. I don’t remember where I first heard of this program, but I’m already getting a lot of usage out of it! This is what it Sydni Craig-Hart over at The Virtual Wire has a fabulous article outlining “tips, tools and resources to help keep any machine happy, healthy and trouble-free.” This topic is dear to my heart, particularly since my recent bout of computer problems.
