Tired but so full of Gratitude
My vacation has been wonderful so far! After a small snag, we got off on the motor home trip and had a ball. The wonders of a small child never ceases to amaze me. I loved watching my son explore and discover so many new things - things that I easily take for granted.
Then, we spent last week with my side of the family. The family reunion was fantastic. It was so much fun reconnecting with family and friends I haven’t seen in a while. All the reconnecting has got me thinking a lot and I will share more about it after I get home and back to normal. My mom also took my son to Sesame Place so they could bond and I could have some alone time. So nice.
This week (until Wednesday evening) we are with my in-laws. Yesterday, family came over and my little guy enjoyed playing with his cousins (in spite of getting sick the evening/night before. Today, my mother-in-law has taken my son to the beach and I am catching up on work.
Wednesday night it is back to my moms until Sunday. Sunday it is back to my in-laws, the reunion for my husband’s side of the family and preparations for home.
I haven’t had much sleep the last couple of weeks, my son has been totally off schedule and yet I wouldn’t change it for the world! Coming home has been such a blessing.
