
Today I am very grateful that I have the Mozy online back-up system for my computer!
Off and on, since we bought the Linksys wireless router a few months ago, we’ve had connection issues. We’d call, get it fixed, then the problem would happen again.
Yesterday, yet again, my husband couldn’t get online. He was online with tech support from 12:30-6:15pm, trying to resolve the issue. Not fun. Finally after a while, while Michael’s laptop was wired directly to our ISP, he was able to get online and the tech guy was able to access the laptop remotely.
After that, the tech guy told Michael that he needed my laptop in order to change some setting. I was in the middle of making dinner and tending to our son, so I didn’t think much of it. Come to find out later, this tech guy completely WIPED OUT everything from my computer! Oh, I am NOT a happy camper.
I am thankful that I have everything backed up, via Mozy. Now it is just a matter of retrieving the information. Mozy has already emailed me the link to download everything, it’s just a matter of doing it. Please say a prayer that the recovery goes on without a hitch!
FYI: If/when you are in the Market of a wireless router, I wouldn’t suggest getting a Linksys. You’ll have too many issues.
